For a new business branded ‘UK Doors Online’, the critical factor in its success is obviously going to be the appeal and functionality of its website and online ordering function.
That’s why Managing Director of UK Doors Online, Andrew Glover, chose the industry’s leading website provider to create the company’s all-important web presence. Hartlepool based The Consultancy, part of the Business Micros Group, has just delivered the new website at: www.ukdoorsonline.co.uk to help launch the business and start to generate leads.
From its factory in Wakefield, UK Doors Online is fabricating aluminium bi-folds and lift and slide patio doors on a five-day turnaround, with market leading warranties and security specifications. Aluminium entrance doors will join the range shortly.
The company’s focus is on winning business via a mix of guaranteed quality and value, backed up by short lead times, instant ordering options and outstanding customer service, and the website had to communicate this.
UK Doors Online came to The Consultancy with a distinctive creative identity and asked the team to interpret this online. The finished result successfully uses the repeated circles which feature in the UK Doors Online new logo in a range of different ways which add instant impact.
Probably the most important feature though is the online door designer function integrated into the website, which had to give users all the functionality they are used to from other sites, but in a way which feels fresh and new.
Andrew Glover explained why he chose The Consultancy for the project: “We’re benchmarking our website and our online presence against the biggest names in the industry, so we knew that we needed to work with the very best in order to achieve that. The Consultancy has an incredible track record on doors designers, and we were confident that could rely on them to give us a site which looks great but works even better.
“They created the website in just four weeks which was really impressive and, crucially for our target installer market, made sure it works just as well on mobiles and tablets as it does on desktops.”
Richie Thornton, Project Director at The Consultancy, added: “Visitors don’t stay on a site if it isn’t instantly appealing and also easy to navigate. What we showed here is how well we can interpret a brief and create something which is distinctive yet also reassuringly familiar.”
